Gotta have a first post. Government is essentially a good thing. I'll be forever grateful for the peace and prosperity a good government can provide. But seriously, are they kidding? With the worlds largest economy on the brink of extinction--according to Greenspan and my financial adviser friend-- our blessed governing officials can not agree on a plan to save America as we know it?
It's called COMPROMISE! Maybe what the founding fathers, or those who shortly followed, should have done was to reorganize the United States government into two primary bodies, (no not Democrats and Republicans) Husband and Wife. That way, over time, with practice, great suffering and perhaps some therapy it would've by now learned how to compromise for the greater good. Any semi-successful married person realizes that you are not in a marriage to be right--that's what hanging out with your buddies and the gas 'n sip is for--you are in a marriage for the greater good. In the case of marriage, the greater good is happiness, more specific her happiness (yes I believe marriage is between a man and a woman--but outside of legal marriage, to each his/her own) for if she is truly happy, then the husband and all family citizens are happy as well.
In the case of the financial future of our great country, the greater good is me........and the other 301, 139,946 people. Most of us work so hard, many for so little, and for what? For Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb to not be able to construct a plan to save our teetering economy?
...........This just read: http://www.usatoday.com/money/markets/2008-09-29-stocks-tuesday_N.htm
People are morons. I'll be the first to admit that I know little about investment banking, wall street, the dows or the jones, but it kills me that the stock market is so insecure that is so effected by simply how investers feel. There is absolutely no difference from the record loss of yesterday when the Dow went down by nearly 800 points to the progress of today when it is up nearly 500. Well, of course Congress is working on an economic redemption plan, morons. Congress needs to figure this out ASAP before they foul us up even more than the financial powers that were that screwed this up to begin with--MORONS! That's the way I see it.
